Prologue
When Hillel the
old ´Mishna Rabbi´ was asked to sum up his teachings in one
sentence; he replied: "Do not do to our neighbor what is hateful
for you.¨ This is a message of tolerance. A way to live in peace and
tranquility.
My teaching in one sentence is: "Make your own
mind." This is a message that could lead to confrontation, but
one that allows evolution and create new things.
The essence of human life lays with independent thought.
The essence of human life lays with independent thought.
Only independent
thinking allows us to examine various philosophies offered to us by
the culture in which we live in.
With independent
thought and learning one can determine and scale ones values.
I think Hillel's goal means ´live in peace´, a goal that Western culture adope in growing extremism, this goal degenerate the human beings.
Sheep live in peace! People must realize thier humanity.
Realization of humanity, by its very nature, violates the peace and tranquility.
Changes violate peace, but without the controversial there is no progress.
Humans have a strong element of conservatism which they must suppress in order to realize their humanity.
Although I am not recomending change just for the sake of change, but I think one should act in the following order: Curiosity => Study => conclusions => setting up coherent philosophy => confrontation.

Although I am not recomending change just for the sake of change, but I think one should act in the following order: Curiosity => Study => conclusions => setting up coherent philosophy => confrontation.
Curiosity - the desire to learn different things ready to break away from suppressing community.
Study - The ability to try new ideas.
Conclusion - Independent thinking allows filtering ideas, and drawing conclusions.
Setting up coherent philosophy - Formulating conclusions and opinions to construct whole new philosophy of life.
Confrontation
– Courageous confrontation to allow the implementation of ideas.
Conflicts with other peoples´ point of view can close the circle, improving the ideas by learning from others.
Each idea must be examined using thinking tools we have at our disposal, such as imagination and abstraction ability, knowledge and experience, logic based on common sense, the ability to adop ideas from another area, the willingness to explore different approaches and humility that allows one to take into account that the others have a point.
I think human life begins when one starts this cycle, and end the minute he do not feel the urgency to change, to develop, to create, and learn new ideas.
If a person enter a robot like mental routine, such a person is a like a cow chewing its cud of others mind. Such a person is a walking dead.
There is no life without risk, without conflicts - with people, with nature or with ideas.
Peace and tranquility reside only in death.
Most people, most of the time, do not meet this definition of life, but every person has some measure of such humanity.
Humanity dose in a
person varies according to environmental and hereditary circomtances.
Anyhow a person should make a conscious effort to increase the time at which he acts as a human being.
Anyhow a person should make a conscious effort to increase the time at which he acts as a human being.
This story is about a man – Ami. It is an allegorical journey in the land of the ´walking dead´ where Ami get rid of old beliefs and build a new life-philosopy. The fog in his mind and on the land slowly make way to clear thoughts.
Can people free themself from thought embedded by thier culture? Can Ami beat the monsters lurking in his mind?
Are you able to break free from old ideas and build a world-view updating it in time?
It's not easy.
But if you could - you are alive!
